Ambleside Community Jugglers
We launched an Ambleside Jugglers' Group in November 2006. I believe one has existed in the 'Side before, so it would be nice to try and revive this 'movement'. All abilities are welcome and whether you’re a pro-juggler or just want to learn the basics and have some fun, come and join us.
Our new home is at the University of Cumbria situated on Rydal Road. We meet every Monday evening (6.30-8.30) at their sports hall, set at the back of the campus, off Nook Lane. Bring your own kit (if you have it!), but we have an assortment of juggling props for use at the sessions. Cost for attending is £2.50 per person per session (at the moment). We ask that children under 12 years old are accompanied by a participating parent/ guardian.
Whether you’re local to the area or just passing through you’re welcome to join in. So come on spread the word, if you know someone who'd love to join in, let them know about us. No batteries required, no computers or TV screens in sight. The group has a great social atmosphere within which is the opportunity to develop new or existing motor skills, improve hand-eye-coordination and just have FUN learning amazing juggling skills.
For those old enough to afford to buy a round, we usually have a jolly to the nuclear sub afterwards too! If you want to get in touch we can be contacted via Jesters (St Mary's Lane - Under Oxfam) on 015394 33982 (Business hours PLEASE!) Or email Andy Jester for up-to-date info. So grab your balls or your sticks (or whatever juggling discipline you're in to) and come and meet some like-minded people, share your skills and develop some new ones.
REMEMBER - Life's A Struggle If You Don't Juggle! Hope to see you there!
